We have won 3 new seats and one incumbent!!! Ken Fulgione, Ardyth D. Krause, and John Prince are going to be new County Board Supervisors, and Tammy Schraufnagel is back in.
Ted Barr and Eric Zeegers made an amazing show of votes, though not quite enough to win this time. Hope you'll try again next time and I'm sure we'll all be supporting you again. The number of votes for these gentlemen says something in itself though for our cause.
Everyone did an amazing job all these many past weeks. And we all deserve this joy of the victories. But, there is still alot of work to do. We're not there yet.

How?
*The County Board can still choose from other locations, in fact, a downtown jail was NOT the first recommedation from the County's own study.
*The Eau Claire City Council can reject the zoning change request from the County.
*The City Council can also reject the change in the Comprehensive Plan.

Citizens and County Board Supervisors have been speaking out and presenting alternatives for years. At the "community advisory meeting” held at Lakeshore School last year, citizens were told that the decision had, in fact, already been made. Is that how citizens provide input? Also last year, 1,000 Eau Claire County residents signed a petition against the downtown jail. Opposition is not new.
